The 23rd IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (IEEE RO-MAN 2014) will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland from 25-29 August 2014. rehabilitationrobotics.net/ro-man14
Robots have been generally used in factories but nowadays they tend to extend application domains into our daily lives such as scientific exploration, military battle, search and rescue, education, entertainment, hospital care, home care, etc. These new robot application domains require close interaction with human since robots and human typically share workspace and goals in terms of task achievement. Therefore, Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), the study of interaction between human and robots, recently became a major field of robotics.
IEEE RO-MAN 2014 will be the best place to discuss and share your ideas and opinions on HRI. IEEE RO-MAN 2014 will focus on the up-to-date theories technologies and studies for HRI and the related issues such as artificial intelligence/emotion, human factors, social relationship, haptic interaction, application and evaluations, etc. Especially, Art & Technology issue is newly generated this year as robotics tends to fuse with art. We truly welcome your papers on all aspects of human-robot interactive communication, and expect your great interest and participation.
