CASE 2013

The 9th annual IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (IEEE CASE 2013), sponsored by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), will be held from 17-21 August 2013, in Madison, WI, USA. IEEE CASE represents the flagship automation conference of the IEEE RAS and constitutes the primary forum for cross-industry and multidisciplinary research in automation. Its goal is to provide a broad coverage and dissemination of foundational research in automation among researchers, academics, and practitioners.

The conference will be held in the spectacular Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor's Club, situated in downtown Madison, next to the State Capitol, State Street, and University of Wisconsin campus. Madison has been chosen as the Best City to Relocate to in America, Safest City in America for Kids, Top 10 Midsize U.S. Metro Areas for Quality of Life, and America's Best Bike Cities.

RAS President David Orin created the above Ad Hoc Committee in January 2011 with the charge to "review the status of Automation Science and Engineering in the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and make recommendations to strengthen the area."
