RAS E-news

The first edition of the IEEE Robotics and Automation email newsletter was sent out on October 14, 2003 to everyone in the Society whose correct email address is in the IEEE database. The IEEE has email addresses for approximately 80% of RAS members, and approximately 80% of those are correct. If you did not receive a copy of the newsletter, we are posting back issues on the website -- see below. You probably need to update your email address with IEEE, which you can do online or by telephone at +1 800 678 IEEE (+1 800 678 4333) from within the U.S. or +1 732 981 0060 for outside the U.S. The IEEE does not sell or share members' emails with other organizations.

The newsletter will be sent out every month to six weeks by the IEEE. It includes includes action items for RAS members, breaking news, calendar updates and other time sensitive information. Our goal is to inform members, not to annoy them. We are keeping it plain ascii text in order to make it convenient for people who use Pine or whose computer security does not permit attachments and to avoid downloading delays and other nasties.(although the newsletter is scanned with the same filters as the email through IEEE aliases.)

Rosalyn Graham Snyder is Newsletter Editor. Send comments and items for inclusion to r.g.snyder@ieee.org.
