Women in Engineering
The ICRA "Birds of a Feather" Women Luncheons offer the opportunity to young female researchers to discuss informally with senior faculty members around a free lunch.
"Birds of a Feather" Women Luncheon will be held as one of social events during ICRA as part of services served by Women in Engineering (WIE) and Membership Activity Board (MAB) since 2011. To participate, please make sure to select "BOF Women Lunch" option when you register to ICRA.
Reports of BOF Luncheon in ICRA2010
Luncheons have been held in ICRA 2007, 2008, and 2010. Here is a report of ICRA 2010.
Discussions are held around a table with at least two senior faculty members per table who moderate the discussion. Discussions are then followed by a brief reports from each table.
The discussions touched upon career opportunities, path, career/family choices, and any other topic brought up by the participants. About 40 people attended, 10 people were only registered, in total, 50 people got involved.
