1st IROS Fumio Harashima Award for Innovative Technologies

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
that the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, the Robotics Society of Japan, and the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers have agreed to start “the IROS Harashima Award for innovative technologiesâ€, to honor Professor Fumio Harashima, the founding chair of the IROS conferences. The Harashima Award will recognize outstanding contributions of an individual of the IROS community who has pioneered activities in robotics and intelligent systems. This is an annual award starting from this year, the 20th anniversary of IROS.
To propose a candidate, please submit a letter of recommendation, which should summarize the candidate's qualifications for the award, to the nomination committee chair,

The recipient of the award, which includes a $200USD honorarium and a plaque, must have created a new research area and/or technology forintelligent robots and systems.
