David Orin is RAS President Elect 2010-11

The RAS Administrative Committee has selected David Orin of The Ohio State University  to serve as President-Elect in 2010-2011 under incoming President Kazuhiro Kosuge. Orin is a longtime RAS member who has served on the AdCom, as Secretary and as Treasurer and Vice President for Financial Activities. He will succeed  Kosuge as RAS President in 2012.

Kosuge has appointed Tamas Haidegger, a graduate student at the Technical University of Budapest (Hungary), has been appointed to serve as the RAS Student AdCom Member for a two-year term beginning in January 2010. He will also chair the Student Activities Committee.

Also, C.S. George Lee of Purdue University and Martin Buss of the Technical University of Munich were appointed to fill the unexpired AdCom terms of Orin and of Stefano Stramigioli, who was elected Vice President for Member Activities.
