2008 IERA Forum and Invention and Entrepreneurship Award
The IFR/IEEE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum was held on June 11, 2008 in Munich, Germany. The Forum is cosponsored by RAS and the International Federation of Robotics, whose members include robotics and automation manufacturers and suppliers and institutional members. RAS AdCom, Board and Committee meetings
The RAS AdCom will meet on September 26 at the Acropolis Convention Center in Nice, France, in conjunction with IROS2008, the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. Most of the RAS Boards and Committees will also meet in Nice although some will hold their meetings August 23-24 in Arlington, Virginia in conjunction with IEEE CASE 2008, the IEEE Conference on Automation Science and Engineering instead of or in addition to holding a meeting in Nice. Antal Bejczy tapped for IEEE Robotics and Automation Award
The IEEE 2009 Technical Field Award in Robotics and Automation will be presented to Antal(Tony) Bejczy "For leadership and sustained contributions to a broad set of innovative robotic and automation techniques applicable to space research and on Earth."
