T-ASE Author Checklist for Accepted Papers - Final Manuscripts

Thank you for your contribution to the Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering. Using the instructions for final manuscript preparation detailed below, please prepare the final version of your paper.

Please find the attached Author Checklist and carefully prepare ALL the items requested, including the completed and signed Author Checklist. Using the instructions for final manuscript preparation given in the attached file, please prepare the final version of your paper and submit the final package through Manuscript Central. Please also update the Related Work section to include relevant references that have appeared in the past two years in conferences and journals to put your contributions into the context of the most recent research. When possible, please cite the archival journal version of papers, which are more comprehensive than their conference versions.

Once you have submitted your final files you will also need to complete the Electronic Copyright Form. A transfer copyright link will appear in your author center next to the paper in the "manuscripts with decisions" queue after successful submission of your final materials. Failure to submit this form may result in publishing delays.

We encourage you to make every effort to pay the voluntary page charges of US$110 per page. .Please note that there is a mandatory page charge of US$175 per page for short papers and communication items exceeding 5 pages and Transactions pages or regular papers exceeding 10 pages, this includes illustrations. By submitting your final files to Manuscript Central you are agreeing to these charges. Thank you for your contribution to the Transactions.

Regards,
Jennifer Barbato

Paper No.:

Paper Type:

This form must be completed by the author, and submitted with the final manuscript of a paper accepted for publication in the Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering.

The form can be designated as a cover letter in the file upload process.

All requested items must be provided prior to transmittal to the printer.

The key links for final manuscript preparation can be obtained at "Tools for Authors".

1. Title of Paper:

2. Authors' names:

3. Please upload all the items listed below:

3.1 A Word or LaTeX file of the final manuscript which includes keywords/index terms, note to practitioners, author biographies and author photographs. This file must conform to the T-ASE style requirements. Guidelines for WORD and LaTeX can be found under WORD Template and LaTeX Template available through the IEEE "Tools for Authors".

3.2 In addition, a pdf file of the final manuscript. Please note that a pdf is NOT sufficient for publication. You must submit the source file listed above. Failure to submit a source file may result in publishing delays.

3.3 If your figures are not embedded in the source file of your manuscript, you will also need to upload separate figure files. The acceptable formats are Word, eps, ps, tiff, ppt and excel. We do NOT accept png or jpeg files for figures. Note that we are now accepting color figures for web-only publication in IEEE Xplore while publishing black and white figures in the printed issue at no additional cost. Color images should be formatted and saved using a suitable graphics processing program that will allow you to create the images as PS, EPS or TIFF files, size them, and adjust the resolution settings. If you create your source files in Microsoft Excel or PDF, you will be able to submit your graphics without converting to a PS, EPS or TIFF file. All color graphics should be saved at a resolution of 400 DPI and at the size the image will be printed. The IEEE Graphics Checker is available through the IEEE Tools for Authors site provided above.

3.4 A file of this completed "Author's Checklist."

Please make sure that all files have unique file names in order for them to export successfully to IEEE.

IEEE has moved to an all electronic copyright submission system. Once you have submitted your final files, a link titled "transfer copyright" will appear in the "manuscripts with decisions" queue in your author center.
