The Student Activities Committee of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (we like to call is “SAC” only) was formed in 2006 as an initiative by the Robotics and Automation Society Adcom to represent the students' voices. As part of the Member Activities Board, the SAC consists of a chair who serves a two year position and 2 co-chairs who serve one year positions. The Goal of the SAC is to represent students in robotics worldwide.

The SAC is responsible for organizing and managing activities, promotions, and competitions to recruit students and keep members active. The SAC puts on a set of activities during ICRA and IROS, the two annual conferences of the Robotics and Automation Society. At IROS2010 we organized a trip to a popular Taipei night market, a visit to Taipei 101 (one of the highest buildings in the world!), a lunch with some of the leaders of the robotics industry, and many more events.
