Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit

Representatives of IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS) to participate in the Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit 2017 as members of the Inaugural Change Agent Fair. The Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit is specifically designed to empower next generation leaders as they continue on their journey toward building a better future, as well as provide them the once-in-a-lifetime experience by attending the 58th Presidential Inauguration on the National Mall.

RAS will participate in the Change Agent Fair on 19 January 2017 at the Eagle bank Arena in Fairfax, VA USA. They will have the opportunity to engage with at least 2500 Middle School, High school and College students, as well as educators and parents. Attendees will participate in a simulation consisting of *six delegations* to create solutions to pressing global challenges in the following key areas:
- Drones, Clones, and Genomes: Technology & the Future of Humanity
- Curing the Future: Healthcare, Disease, & the World of Tomorrow
- Racing Extinction: Water, Wildlife, & Weather @ 2050
- Imagining Peace: Conflict & Compromise in a Global Age
- A Smarter Planet: Education, Innovation, & Equity
- Women & Global Leadership

As part of the Presidentail Inauguration Leadership Summit, an Evening with the Experts has been arranged. The event, for at least 200 college students, will take place at the Marriot Wardman Park Conference Center.

RAS Expert Dr. James Keller of the GRASP lab of UPenn will talk about drone technologies and the research activities on UAVs at GRASP.
