REVISED 2020 IEEE RAS Election – VOTE by 15 December

The 2020 IEEE RAS AdCom Election has begun. Vote Now!

SPECIAL NOTICE – Revised Election:  The Robotics and Automation Society is now re-issuing the Administrative Committee election ballot to the society membership in order to ensure adequate representation from all GEO Areas.

Please note: AdCom election rules stipulate that for the 2020 election, two representatives from GEO Area 1 should be chosen, along with one each from GEO Areas 2 and 3. Unfortunately, the ballots sent out on 1 October 2020 incorrectly stated that two representatives from GEO Area 3 should be chosen. It was further determined that the slate of candidates from GEO Area 1 did not provide adequate representation from countries in GEO Area 1, and that at least one additional Member-at-Large candidate from GEO Area 1 was required.  Since all GEO Area candidates are also candidates on the slate for Member-at-Large positions, this change affects all Regions, resulting in the need to reissue the entire election to all voting members.

Consequently, the RAS AdCom Election which was launched on 1 October 2020 was voided and cancelled.  All votes previously cast will not be counted and have been voided.

The Deadline to vote is 15 December 2020!

RAS members are voting to elect new RAS Administrative Committee members to serve 3-year terms beginning 1 January 2021. All RAS members (Graduate Student Members and above) have received voting instructions, the biographies, and statements of the candidates by email. RAS membership must be active as of 15 August 2020 to be eligible to vote. Members who do not have valid emails registered with the IEEE or have opted not to receive e-mail from IEEE, have received their election materials by post.
