BioRob 2020- International Conference for Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics
SPECIAL NOTICE – CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
In view of the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizing committee has decided to postpone BioRob2020 to the Fall (Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, 2020) and host a fully-virtual conference.
Delegates will be able to attend presentations and workshops remotely through webinars. Recorded webinars will also be accessible asynchronously during and after the conference. Accepted papers will be available in IEEE Explore by the Summer, following the original schedule. We will publish more details about the conference format by the first week of August.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. Together we have a chance to make BioRob2020 a success despite the difficult situation and this unusual conference format.
BioRob covers both theoretical and experimental challenges posed by the application of robotics and mechatronics in medicine and biology. The primary focus of Biorobotics is to analyze biological systems from a "biomechatronic" point of view, trying to understand the scientific and engineering principles underlying their extraordinary performance.
This profound understanding of how biological systems work, behave and interact can be used for two main objectives: to guide the design and fabrication of novel, high performance bio-inspired machines and systems for many different applications; and to develop novel nano, micro-, macro- devices that can act upon, substitute parts of, and assist human beings in prevention, diagnosis, surgery, prosthetics, rehabilitation and personal assistance.
