International Workshop on Hybrid Fusion of Robot-Human Bio-functions toward Cyborg
The main purpose of this workshop is to discuss a frontier research and clinical works on the Robot and Human Hybrid Fusion System. In one hand, bio-hybrid systems represent an exciting novel paradigm for engineering, aiming at solving technological issues by means of integration of living biological components, like bio-hybrid actuators and sensors. On the other hand, we can take advantage of such advanced techniques to medically improve human health. In this workshop, for instance, we will discuss prosthetic limbs and robotic exoskeletons for rehabilitation and recovery, cell-sheet based regenerative medicine for the treatment of damaged human tissues and organs.
The workshop will invite worldwide frontier scholars including researchers and doctors. These speakers will share with us their experiences and their visions on bio-hybrid systems. In addition to academic researchers, we have also invited some doctors who have rich clinical experiences in regenerative medicine and rehabilitation. Their needs and ideas in this area will guide us towards a correct and effective research direction in future.
