The IEEE RAS Student Activities Committee (SAC) has recently implemented a new structure to facilitate communication between the RAS SAC and RAS Student Chapters. Regional student representatives, introduced below, have been appointed to represent Region(s) 1-7, 8, 9, and 10. These students will act as ambassadors from the RAS SAC to student chapters, and will facilitate activities and communication within their regions. Niveditha Kalavakonda is a Ph.D. student at the BioRobotics Lab in University of Washington, Seattle. She is an Amazon Catalyst Fellow and a Fellow at the Laboratory for Analysis of Motion and Performance. She graduated with a BTech degree from Amrita School of Engineering, India in 2014 and a M.Sc. from the University of Washington in 2017. Before joining UW, Niveditha worked as a Research Associate at the Robotics Lab in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She is the Founding Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering at the University of Washington.

Thassyo Pinto received his B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS), Brazil, in 2014. Throughout his academic life, he has had the opportunity to work as a volunteer in various professional societies, promoting technology awareness for the community by organizing engineering seminars, workshops and competitions. He has experience in automotive industry, working as a Vehicle Package Analyst and as a Vehicle Evaluation and Verification (VEV) Sign-off Engineer at Ford Motor Company. He is now a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University, and a member of the Smart Microsystems Lab and Adami Lab. His research interests are in soft robotics, evolutionary robotics and biorobotics. Currently, he is participating in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) program, Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST), for enhancing career development and building advanced skills. Through his leadership abilities, he has been guiding and improving the IEEE MSU Student Branch as a Graduate Advisor.

Westley Ndunya is a results-oriented Mechatronics engineering student from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya. Besides engineering, he also has an interest in business and IT where he is pursuing a Diploma in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University. As of 2016, he had successfully obtained his certificate in Cloud Computing and Virtualization from the same institution. He utilizes a hands on approach in tackling projects and accomplishing goals. He has worked at Richfield Engineering Limited, in the design department, where he developed simple programs for the design and fabrication of unfired pressure vessels. Currently, he volunteers in the organizing committee of the JKUAT Student Branch. Westley is determined to foster designing of robot systems by boosting RAS activities in his region.

Zeyad Yousif Al-Shibaany is currently a PhD student at the University of Newcastle in the United Kingdom and he is conducting a research in Mechatronics Engineering with focus on Sustainable Manufacturing. Zeyad received his M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from Newcastle University in 2012 with Distinction and had been awarded a Prize and an Award as the Best Performing Master Student for the academic year 2011/2012. Zeyadhas a B.Sc. in Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq.

He also has a  degree in Native Development in Android, Native Development in IOS 8, Fundamentals of Software Engineering, Voice-to-Speech Marketing Course issued by the Ministry of Information Technology and APPSCO of Colombia, as well as Mobile APP Programming Course, Course of Introduction to Website Development, Basic Digital Marketing Course, Course of Cloud Computing, Course of Productivity in the Digital Era, Course of E-Commerce, Course of Digital Transformation for Employment. He has been Contry Leaf of Colombia of the IEEEXTREME in 2017 and 2018, he participated in several Robotics tournaments like:
