Cecilia Laschi (M’00-SM’12-F’23) Cecilia Laschi is Provost’s Chair Professor of robotics at the National University of Singapore, leading the Soft Robotics Lab. She is Director of the Advanced Robotics Centre. Cecilia Laschi is best-known for her research in soft robotics, an area that she pioneered and contributed to develop at international level. She explores marine applications of soft robots and their use in the biomedical field, with a focus on eldercare. She is Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Soft Robotics. She is Advisory Board member of Science Robotics and past editor of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Letters. She is IEEE Fellow and founded the IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft). She was Program Chair of IEEE/RSJ IROS 2018 and 2024 and Co-Chair of Robotics Gordon Research Conference 2024. She co-founded the spin-off company RoboTech.
