We’re Hiring: Technology Analyst
The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Science and Technology Watch Board is seeking a Technology Analyst to research, analyze, and communicate how cutting-edge robotics evolves from basic research into real-world impact.
In this role, you’ll work closely with IEEE RAS leadership to map out historical development, patents, funding pathways, and technical milestones for innovations in surgical robotics, legged locomotion, autonomous navigation, and more. Inspired by the National Academies’ “tire tracks” model, your research will produce visual timelines and strategic maps used by policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and educators worldwide.
Role Details:
Position: Technology Analyst (Part-Time Hourly Contractor)
Commitment: ~20 hours/week
Location: Remote
Key Tasks: Deep-dive technical literature analysis, patent/report evaluation, and tech evolution mapping.
