Conferences & Workshops

The IEEE Robotics & Automation technical conferences and workshops offer a unique opportunity to participate in the advancement of the industry’s research base, through interaction with other robotics and automation professionals and engage in expert panel discussions tutorial sessions, short courses, supplier exhibits and social events with the leaders and innovators of the industry.

The 2026 IEEE 22nd  International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE 2026) is one of the three flagship conferences of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society and provides a primary forum for cross-industry multidisciplinary research in automation.

CASE 2026 will be held on August 17 – 21, 2026, in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. Shenyang is the capital city of Liaoning Province and the largest city in Northeastern China. Known as the Eastern Ruhr, Shenyang is a renowned industrial base for manufacturing in China.

The conference will focus on Smart Industry:

    (1) Data analytics and optimization for smart industry, including reinforcement learning, evolutionary learning, and other data analytics methods; integer optimization, intelligent optimization, and other systems optimization methods.
    (2) Frontier technology of industrial & systems engineering, including production and inventory planning, full-dimension organic scheduling, etc.
    (3) Systems technology of industrial automation and control, including quality analytics and dynamic optimization, material science-based quality design, etc.
    (4) Enabling technology of industrial intelligence, including structured data processing, natural language understanding, image and video recognition, visual simulation/emulation for industrial automation; network and communication, block chain, embedded system, quantum computing for automation system, etc.
    (5) Emerging technology of automation system, including chip design and manufacturing, embodied intelligent robots, acoustic / optical electronic devices, specialized sensors and IoT, etc.
    (6) LLM-based application for Manufacture-Circulation Industrial System (MCIS): Fundamental MCIS including steel/non-ferrous metallurgy, equipment manufacturing, logistics, energy system; emerging MCIS including semiconductor/electronics manufacturing, information/network system; life and environmental MCIS including healthcare and carbon system, etc.
