The 2020 IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE2020) is seeking proposals for Tutorials and Workshops, addressing current and future research and application topics that are relevant to the conference areas.

 

Tutorials/Workshops

At CASE2020, tutorials and workshops will provide an opportunity for conference attendees to explore cutting-edge topics; acquire new insights, knowledge, and skills; and learn from leaders in the field.

Both half-day and full-day tutorials are encouraged. Criteria for selection are relevance to the major CASE2020 topics, technical expertise of the tutorial/workshop organizers, interest of the topics, and impact.

Proposals should consist of:

  • title
  • abstract summarizing the proposed workshops/tutorials
  • list of organizers and speakers
  • list of topics and their descriptions.

The number of pages is limited to three.

Free admission to the tutorials/workshops will be given to all attendees who have specified their choice on the on-line registration form when they register for CASE2020. For those attendees who are not preregistered, admission to the tutorials will be on a space available basis.

 

Deliveries

Organizers are responsible for securing and collating the presentation material to be distributed electronically to the workshops and tutorials attendees.

 

Copyright

Presenters and organizers are responsible for obtaining copyright clearance from the appropriate bodies if use in their presentations material subject to copyright laws.

 

Disclaimers

All organizers and presenters are to cover their travel expenses.

The organizers of accepted proposals will be exempt from paying the CASE2020 Conference registration fee, provided they have no papers accepted at the Conference. Otherwise the normal registration fee& requirements apply. As a token of appreciation, for tutorials/workshops that have a minimum of ten (10) preregistered participants, the conference registration fee will be waived for one (1) organizer or speaker.

The IEEE CASE2020 Program Committee reserves the right to cancel any tutorial/workshop if deadlines are missed or an insufficient number of attendees are preregistered.

 

Important Dates

  • 15 February 2020      Deadline for submission of proposals for Tutorials/Workshops.
  • 29 February 2020      Notification of acceptance/rejection for Tutorials/Workshops.
  • 20 August 2020         Conference – Workshop & Tutorials Day.

Submission

Proposals for tutorials or workshops must be submitted through the conference submission system at https://ras.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl. However, we appreciate prospective organizers to contact at their earliest convenience the Tutorials and Workshop Chairs ([email protected], [email protected]) to communicate their intention to present a Workshop or Tutorial proposal.
