Communities are a valuable area of support that the 220+ active RAS local and regional chapters provide. Among other activities, local RAS chapters sponsor or cosponsor mini symposiums, student competitions, and continuing education workshops. Local RAS chapters also provide valuable professional contacts, especially for engineers who may have few co-workers who are robotics or automation professionals.
RAS Student Branch Chapters are affiliated with collegiate IEEE Branches. Each branch chapter has a faculty advisor who is a member of RAS and may also have an industry advisor.
