- By IEEE RAS policy, a double-anonymous peer review process took effect for new paper submissions on February 1, 2025. PDFs and documents submitted for review should NOT contain any information about the authors. The identities of robots do not need to be hidden for unique robots. They are allowed to appear in pictures and videos. However, the individual names of the robots should be hidden from the paper except if it is a widespread robot name (e.g., Nao, Spot,…). Please read IEEE RAS Double-Anonymous Review Process Guidelines carefully.
- The manuscript should be submitted in double-column, single-spaced format using the required IEEE article template. Please find the journal’s specific template using the IEEE Template Selector (https://template-selector.ieee.org/secure/templateSelector/publicationType).
- T-FR now requires that all new submissions be entered through the IEEE Author Portal submission site (https://ieee.atyponrex.com/journal/fieldrobotics).
- A Word or LaTeX file and a PDF file are both required upon submission. Content on each file must match exactly. File size should not exceed 40MB.
- The submitting author is required to have an ORCID ID associated with their account. It’s optional for co-authors. For more information on ORCID, please visit https://orcid.org/signin.
- The author designated as the corresponding author in the submission system will be the main point of contact for the article and will be responsible for approving the proof if the article is accepted for publication.
- For questions regarding supplementary materials, please visit https://journals.ieeeauthorcenter.ieee.org/create-your-ieee-journal-article/prepare-supplementary-materials/
- IMPORTANT: To expedite the peer-review process and expand our pool of expert reviewers, authors are requested to suggest three potential reviewers for each manuscript they submit, even though this step is listed as optional in the submission instructions in the Author Portal. If no suggestions are provided, we may contact you via email for this information. These suggested reviewers should:
- Have demonstrated expertise in the manuscript subject area.
- Not be current collaboration or co-authors with the authors.
- Not be affiliated with the same institution as the authors.
Please note that the editorial office reserves the right to determine whether to invite the suggested reviewers.
