Technical Committees

Technical Committees (TC) focus on the research content of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society by tracking technical developments and encouraging innovation in: applications, theory, models, metrics, experiments, architectures, products, initiatives, and other technical areas.

With 47 Technical Committees, research in specific areas is encouraged. New Technical Committees are added as a topic area is grows, becomes increasingly relevant, sufficiently outside the scope of existing TCs.

Technical Committees are an important benefit of membership, allowing for further collaboration and communication within subsets of the field.

The Health and Medical Robotics Cluster is a collaborative initiative that brings together various Technical Committees (TCs) with specific expertise in different areas of health and medical robotics. These TCs, covering topics such as Rehabilitation and Assistive Robotics, Automation in Health Care Management, Cyborg & Bionic Systems, Neuro-Robotics Systems, Micro/Nano Robotics and Automation, Surgical Robotics, Telerobotic, Wearable Robotics, and Bio Robotics, meet regularly to promote interaction and cooperation. The cluster’s purpose is to facilitate collaboration and synergy among the TCs, allowing them to work together effectively, share knowledge, and expand the scope of their efforts in advancing health and medical robotics technologies.
