Technical Committees

Technical Committees (TC) focus on the research content of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society by tracking technical developments and encouraging innovation in: applications, theory, models, metrics, experiments, architectures, products, initiatives, and other technical areas.

With 47 Technical Committees, research in specific areas is encouraged. New Technical Committees are added as a topic area is grows, becomes increasingly relevant, sufficiently outside the scope of existing TCs.

Technical Committees are an important benefit of membership, allowing for further collaboration and communication within subsets of the field.

The Automation Cluster promotes community inclusion in developing interconnected automation systems. Spanning from digital manufacturing to sustainable production automation, it emphasizes the essential links between academic research and industry applications. This ensures that innovative automation solutions have practical, real-world impact. The Cluster, by unifying various Technical Committees, propels automation research and applications. Our goal is to shape a more sustainable and efficient future by connecting academia and industry, utilizing the potential of automation technologies, and encouraging student participation. Together, we are striving to contribute positively to the future of automation.
