Technical Committees

Technical Committees (TC) focus on the research content of the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society by tracking technical developments and encouraging innovation in: applications, theory, models, metrics, experiments, architectures, products, initiatives, and other technical areas.

 

With 47 Technical Committees, research in specific areas is encouraged. New Technical Committees are added as a topic area is grows, becomes increasingly relevant, sufficiently outside the scope of existing TCs.

 

Technical Committees are an important benefit of membership, allowing for further collaboration and communication within subsets of the field.

The Robotics Foundation Cluster of IEEE RAS (Robotics and Automation Society) is a collaborative platform that fosters advancements in fundamental aspects of robotics research and technology. Comprising various subcommittees, about 80% of the IEEE RAS technical committees, it enables experts to exchange knowledge, develop standards, and promote innovation. Through conferences, publications, and workshops, the cluster facilitates networking among researchers, engineers, and enthusiasts worldwide. By promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, it accelerates the growth of robotics in diverse fields and educates the new generation of roboticists.
