Joining the Transactions on Robot Learning Editorial Board

The IEEE Transactions on Robot Learning (T-RL) is always looking for new Associate Editors. As minimum requirements to be eligible to serve as AE for T-RL, you must (1) have previously published in the IEEE Transactions on Robotics or IEEE Transactions on Robot Learning, (2) have previously served in some other editorial board position (e.g., the IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, ICRA, IROS, etc.), and (3) be in a “permanent” position (e.g., not a student or a postdoc). For more information and to apply, please fill out this form.

AEs are selected based on their research expertise and its match to current needs of the board; judgment and the scientific quality of their research; international reputation; likely ability to recruit reviewers; diversity in research topic expertise, geography, and gender; and reliability and commitment to service. Typically, successful AE candidates have demonstrated their active involvement in the scientific life of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), including RAS journals and conferences. In some cases we are unable to offer AE positions even to highly-qualified candidates if we do not have sufficient current needs in the candidates’ areas of expertise.

Applications are reviewed periodically, and we will contact you if there is a good fit between your qualifications and our current expertise needs.
