This standard defines requirements of semantic maps for autonomous robots from application scenarios and use cases. The purpose of this standard is to establish a common ground for application of semantic maps for autonomous robots to provide intelligent services to human users. In Part 1, the requirements identified from use cases and application scenarios are defined to provide best practices and conventions. In Part 2, fundamental data models for representation and exchange of semantic map information and specification of an application framework to support development of applications utilizing the semantic maps for autonomous robots are defined.
