28 April- 4 May 2021  | VIRTUAL EVENT

The National Robotics Festival promotes Science and Technology among young people, teachers, researchers and the general public, through competitions of autonomous robots. Held annually in different cities, this event also includes a Scientific Meeting (ICARSC 2021), where national and foreign researchers in the field of Robotics are given the opportunity to present their latest research results in their area.
Robotic competitions are designed to promote an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit in children and young people through active teaching methods, as well as the acquisition of transversal skills, also disclosing this area to the general public.

At the National Robotics Festival, Portuguese teams are selected for RoboCup, a global robotics competition, which brings together the best teams in each country, and in which Portugal already has a history of good results.

ICARSC is an international forum bringing together researchers from all robotics areas aiming to discuss the latest progress in their research field and evaluate advances in the state-of-the-art. ICARSC2021 is co-sponsored by the Portuguese Robotics Society, IEEE Portugal Section, IEEE Portugal RAS Chapter and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS). Contributions from the academy, industry and outputs from collaboration between industrial and academic R&D units are welcome.
