Conference Activities Board
The Conference Activities Board shall be responsible for the management and planning of all of the conference and meeting activities of the Society. This includes monitoring the quality of any publications associated with any of these conference activities. It shall also monitor and coordinate all conference operating committees and carry out all the long-term conference planning for Society meetings. This Board shall be charged with keeping itself informed of all meetings which are in areas covered by the Field of Interest of the Society and shall advise the AdCom about the participation of the Society in such meetings.
In conjunction with the Member Activities Board, the Conference Activities Board will provide oversight on the selection and operation of the RAS Technical Education Programs and RAS-sponsored competitions.
RAS financially sponsors approximately 10 conferences, co-sponsors 15 more, and technically sponsors 15 others. The Conference Activities Board manages this large conference portfolio through four committees:
- Conference Finance Committee (CAB-F)
- Conference Publications Committee (CAB-P)
- Conference Technical Programs Committee (CAB-T)
- Conference Operations Committee (CAB-O)
The Conference Technical Programs CPast VP - Senior Advisorommittee (formerly Steering Committee for Technical Programs, SCTP) oversees the technical planning and content of conferences. It also oversees the Conference Workshop Oversight Committee (CAB-WOC) and the Conference Editorial Board, which is charged with reviewing papers for ICRA.
