ICRA Workshop and Tutorial Editorial Board
The IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Workshop and Tutorial Editorial Board (WTEB) is responsible for handling the review process of workshop and tutorial proposals for the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA).
The WTEB is part of the CEB and consists of two Editors, one for workshops and one for tutorials, and approximately 15 Associate Editors. The Editors are responsible for supervising the review process of proposals. For workshops this involves distribution to Associate Editors; for tutorials, due to the low number of proposals, the Editor handles the reviewer assignment directly. The editors ensure the quality of all reports. Associate Editors are responsible for acquiring at least two reviews for each paper that is submitted to the conference, and for writing a concise summarizing review report. The review reports are used as a basis for final decisions by the Conference Program Committee. In some cases, an Associate Editor may recommend that a submission be rejected without review. In this case, if the supervising Editor agrees, the proposal will be rejected without being sent out for review.
The ultimate responsibility for the workshop and tutorial program of a conference rests with the Program Committee. The purpose of the WTEB is merely to ensure a high quality, robust, reliable and consistent review process from year to year.
